Watch the dashboards you’d otherwise keep refreshing.
Looker, Metabase, Tableau, Grafana, Mixpanel, your custom in-house admin. SiteChime watches a specific tile or counter from inside your own signed-in browser and chimes when the number moves — no API integration, no service-account dance, no passwords stored.
The problem
Half your team has a dashboard in another tab all day.
Operators, on-call engineers, growth folks, and execs all do the same thing: they keep a dashboard open and tab-switch to it every few minutes. The numbers that matter move slowly — until they don’t — and the manual habit feels productive while actually being a 2% tax on the workday.
SiteChime turns that habit into an alert. Pick the KPI tile, the status counter, or the funnel-conversion number once, and you only hear from us when it changes. Close the tab. Get the time back.
How it works
Almost always browser mode \u2014 dashboards live behind a login.
For the rare public dashboard.
A few status pages and public Grafana dashboards are open to the internet. Those can run in cloud mode from our servers on a schedule, with no extension needed.
Hourly checks on Pro · 15-minute checks on Pro+
Watches run inside your signed-in browser.
Install the Chrome extension, open your dashboard, and sign in once. Visually pick the tile, counter, or table row you care about. SiteChime runs the check from your own browser session on a schedule. Your dashboard credentials, SSO tokens, and cookies stay on your machine.
Your password never leaves your machine. Only the extracted page text is uploaded. Get the extension.
What gets monitored
The dashboard tiles your team keeps refreshing.
Revenue & MRR counters
Pick the revenue tile on your finance dashboard. SiteChime tells you when it crosses a threshold — the only time you actually need to look.
Active-user & engagement tiles
Watch DAU, WAU, or signup-count tiles on Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, or your in-house product dashboard. Alerts on every meaningful move.
Error rates & uptime numbers
Pick the error-rate tile on Grafana, Datadog, or your status dashboard. Get pinged when the next check sees it cross your alert threshold.
Queue depth & backlog counters
Operations dashboards usually have a queue-length number. Watch it and hear about backlog spikes before customers start complaining.
CRM pipeline & deal-stage counts
Watch the deal-count tile on a Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive dashboard. Sales-ops alerts when a stage clogs or unblocks.
Custom in-house admin numbers
Most companies have an internal admin with key tiles nobody bothered to wire alerts for. Pick the tile, get an alert. No engineering ticket required.

Why SiteChime
Built for teams that want alerting without an integration project.
No API access required
Most dashboard tools either don’t expose alerting on the metrics you care about or require a project to wire it up. SiteChime watches the rendered tile — if you can see the number, we can alert on it.
No passwords stored
Browser mode runs in your own signed-in session. SiteChime never sees your password, your SSO token, or your session cookies. Only the extracted text from the tile is uploaded.
Section-level precision
Pick exactly the tile or counter you care about. Sidebar nav changes, time-window pills, and unrelated dashboard edits don’t fire alerts.
Threshold rules
Set a rule like "alert when this drops below 10,000" or "alert when this rises above 5%". The watch still runs at its full schedule — you just hear about it when it crosses.
Email, Slack, Discord, webhook
Route dashboard alerts straight to your on-call Slack, your team’s Discord, or any webhook destination on Pro and above. Pipe to PagerDuty via webhook if you need.
Failure transparency
When the dashboard logs you out, structure changes, or a tile fails to render, the dashboard tells you why in plain language — so you find out before you miss a real signal.
FAQ
Common questions about dashboard monitoring.
Does SiteChime store my dashboard password?
No. Browser mode runs inside your own already-signed-in browser session. SiteChime never sees your password, your SSO token, or your session cookies. We never log in for you and we never ask for credentials. Only the extracted text from the tile you picked is uploaded.
Will my company’s security team be okay with this?
The data flow is: your browser fetches the dashboard page (as it always does), the extension extracts the text of the tile you picked, and uploads that text to our servers. No credentials are uploaded, no full pages are stored, no SSO tokens are touched. Most security reviewers compare it to a screen-recording tool and ask whether the extracted text is sensitive — you decide that when you pick the tile.
How often can SiteChime check a dashboard?
Browser-mode checks run on a schedule from your own browser. The schedule respects your plan: daily on Free, hourly on Pro, every 15 minutes on Pro+. The extension only runs the check when your browser is open — if your laptop is closed, the check waits until it’s back online.
Do I have to keep the dashboard tab open all day?
No. The extension uses your Chrome profile’s existing session and opens each check in a short-lived background tab on its schedule, so you can close the dashboard after picking the tile. If the dashboard later looks like it needs you to sign in again — SSO expired, session timeout, security re-prompt — SiteChime marks the watch "Sign in required" with a "Sign in to resume" prompt instead of sending a misleading alert, so you can re-authenticate in your normal browser and the watch resumes.
Can I get alerted only when a metric crosses a threshold?
Yes. Each watch supports threshold rules: "alert when below X", "alert when above X", "alert when page mentions X". The watch still runs at its full schedule, but you only hear about it when the threshold crosses.
What dashboards does this work on?
Anything you can sign into in a browser and see a rendered number. Confirmed working: Looker, Metabase, Tableau (browser version), Grafana, Datadog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, PostHog, Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe Dashboard, plus most in-house admin tools.
How does pricing work?
Free includes 5 watches with daily checks. Pro is $9/month for 25 watches with hourly checks plus Slack, Discord, and webhook destinations. Pro+ is $19/month for 50 watches with 15-minute checks and a priority queue.
