Terms of Service

Last updated: April 25, 2026

Acceptance

By creating an account or using SiteChime, you agree to these terms.

The service

SiteChime monitors webpages you specify and notifies you when the content changes. We try hard to deliver alerts promptly, but we do not guarantee that every change will be detected, that alerts will arrive within a specific time, or that the service will be available without interruption.

Acceptable use

  • Only monitor pages you are legally entitled to access.
  • Do not use SiteChime to violate any third party’s terms of service or rights, including the terms of any site you watch.
  • Do not attempt to overwhelm, probe, or interfere with our systems.
  • Do not use SiteChime to monitor content that is illegal, harassing, or harmful.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • The Free plan is provided at no charge, subject to the limits described on the pricing page.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe.
  • You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide partial-period refunds except where required by law.
  • We may change pricing or plan features. We will give you reasonable notice before any change that affects an active subscription.

Content you provide

You retain ownership of the URLs, selectors, and any other content you provide. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service — for example, to fetch the pages you watch and to store snapshots so we can detect changes.

Disclaimers

SiteChime is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on the alerts you receive.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteChime’s total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give you reasonable notice. Continued use of the service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
