Use case · Tender & procurement

Tender alerts the moment something changes — including portals behind a login.

Stop refreshing tender portals, supplier dashboards, and bid status pages by hand. SiteChime watches them for you and pings you in plain English when a listing, deadline, status, or attachment changes.

The problem

Tender portals don’t notify you when it matters.

Most procurement systems email you once when a tender is published and then go quiet. Closing dates get extended, status pills flip from Submitted to Shortlisted, addenda land on the documents page, and Q&A threads grow new answers — usually without an email going out.

Bid teams compensate by manually opening the portal three or four times a day, every day, until award. SiteChime takes that work off your plate.

How it works

Public RFP boards and logged-in portals, both covered.

Cloud mode

For public tender boards.

Paste the URL of a public RFP search results page, a category page, or an individual tender listing. SiteChime fetches it on a schedule from our servers and compares each snapshot to the last.

Hourly checks on Pro · 15-minute checks on Pro+

Browser mode

For supplier portals behind a login.

Install the Chrome extension and sign in to the procurement portal once in your own browser. SiteChime watches the page from inside your session, so it sees what you see — including your bid status pages.

Your password never leaves your machine. Only the extracted page text is uploaded.

What gets monitored

The pages your bid team keeps refreshing.

New listings on a tender board

Watch a search result page or category page on a public RFP portal. SiteChime tells you when a new tender appears that matches your criteria.

Deadline & closing date changes

Closing dates get pushed, extended, or quietly brought forward. Watch the listing page and get a chime the moment the date moves.

Bid status on supplier portals

Sign in to your supplier dashboard once in your own browser. SiteChime watches your bid status page from inside your session and alerts you on status flips.

New attachments or addenda

Buyers post addenda, clarifications, or revised attachments without notifying every bidder. Watch the documents section and never miss a revision.

Award notices & outcomes

Watch the award notice page for a tender of interest. Hear about the outcome the moment it’s posted, not when a competitor announces it.

Q&A and clarification threads

Buyers answer one question and the answer affects every bid. Watch the Q&A section and stay in step with the rest of the field.

Why SiteChime for tender monitoring

Built for the way bid teams actually work.

Works on portals behind a login

Most procurement systems require an account to see your bid status. Browser mode watches them from inside your own signed-in session — your password never leaves your machine.

Section-level precision

Visually pick the deadline cell, the status pill, or the documents list. Banner ads, navigation timestamps, and unrelated portal updates don’t trigger alerts.

Plain-English summaries

Each alert leads with what changed in a single sentence — “Closing date moved from May 28 to June 4”, “Status changed from Submitted to Shortlisted” — above the raw diff.

Email, Slack, Discord, webhook

Route tender alerts to wherever your bid team already works. Slack channels, Discord servers, or any webhook destination on Pro and above.

Failure transparency

When a check fails (portal blocked our request, page structure changed), the dashboard tells you why in plain language — you find out before the deadline, not after.

No password storage

SiteChime never stores your portal password. Browser mode runs in your browser; only the extracted page text and change result are uploaded.

FAQ

Common questions from bid teams.

Does this work on tender portals that need a login?

Yes. Install the Chrome extension, sign in to the portal once in your own browser, and SiteChime watches the page from inside your session. Your credentials stay on your machine.

Will the portal know I’m monitoring it?

Browser-mode checks look like normal page visits from your own browser, on your own schedule. Cloud-mode checks (for public pages) come from our servers on whatever schedule your plan allows. SiteChime doesn’t bypass logins or attempt to defeat rate limits.

Can I watch just the deadline, or just the status?

Yes. The visual section picker lets you pick the specific cell, pill, or block on the page. Changes outside that section don’t trigger alerts.

How fast will I find out about a change?

Public pages can be checked as often as every 15 minutes on Pro+, hourly on Pro, and daily on Free. Browser-mode checks run on a schedule from your own browser; you can also trigger a manual check at any time.

What about regions or languages?

SiteChime is region-agnostic. It works on procurement portals anywhere in the world, in any language the page renders text in.

How does pricing work?

Free includes 3 watches with daily checks. Pro is $9/month for 25 watches with hourly checks plus Slack, Discord, and webhook destinations. Pro+ is $19/month for 50 watches with 15-minute checks and priority queue.
